The bug – I think it’s possible I've found the cause of my swollen face/head etc from last month’s trip to Misool… this little guy. Who’s not so little, by the way, at about 12 cm!
As far as bugs - beetles, moths, butterflies, etc - I swear I have never seen the same one twice in Raja Ampat…. I usually see a few that at first glance appear to be the same, however upone closer inspection there is some colour or structural variation…. Amazing… Especially attracted to the ship's lights at night, all shapes and sizes flutter about - I’m sure if we had a ‘bug geek’ aboard the Kalabia, they would go wild!
I guess I figured since I'd been blogging about all the wondrous critters in the sea I'd better put something up from the 'top side' as well!
