Crazy Rice
On my way through Jakarta this time I discovered a little treat right around the corner from the budget hotel where I usually stay... Crazy Rice! The place is called "Nasi Gila", literally crazy rice, and is known for its unique dish...
It should be noted of course, that there are as many varieties of Nasi Goreng Gila as there are crazies in Jakarta!

Malls of a Million Wonders
Jakarta was really a bit of a culture shock in itself!
We stayed at a hotel not too far from one of the newest, largest malls in the city, Grand Indonesia, where you can basically travel around the world without even leaving the city!

Wandering around Arabia
Hanging at the Moulin Rouge...
... and the Roman balconies...
...to the streets of New York...
Then back out onto the streets of Jakarta... for a meal at a neat little street cafe
