Sea Spaghetti

These spaghetti worms are some of the most common marine worms found on tropical reefs in Raja Ampat.  Their super-long while spaghetti-like tentacles reach out from their tube in search of food.  I think, just like the song, they are looking for the meatball (On top of spaghetti, all covered with cheese, I lost my poor meatball, when somebody sneezed.... it rolled off the table, and onto the floor, and then my poor meatball, rolled right out the door!).

Their arms can reach for over a meter, but if you touch or brush them, they immediately retract their tentacles into the safe haven of their tubes.
